About me

Every person, as a whole.

I'm Anthony Paganin, osteopath and exercise scientist.

An osteopath's hands during a back treatment

I chose to work this way because I believe every person needs to be listened to and assessed as a whole.

In my work I bring together osteopathy, movement and experience in physical activity, trying to understand not only where a problem starts, but also how the body moves and adapts.

My aim is to guide each person towards better balance, greater freedom of movement and a more conscious way of looking after their own body.

What people come to me for

Your problem is probably here.

The things I hear most often, put the way you'd say them on the phone, not the way they appear on a medical report.

What I don't do

  • I don't treat neurological conditions, such as the after-effects of a stroke or neurodegenerative diseases.
  • I don't use electrotherapy devices.
  • I don't prescribe or administer medication.
  • I don't make medical diagnoses: if in doubt, I'll refer you to a doctor.

If what you're feeling isn't on the list, write to me anyway: together we'll work out whether I can help, or whether it's better to see a doctor first.

Frequently asked questions

Questions before you book.

Answers to the questions I'm asked most often.

What happens at the first visit?

The first session includes an initial conversation, an assessment of posture and movement and, where appropriate, osteopathic treatment. The aim is to understand the problem better and set up a personalised treatment plan. Before your visit you can read and confirm the patient privacy notice.

How long does a session last?

A session usually lasts about 45–60 minutes, depending on the person's needs and the type of treatment.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no set number for everyone. It depends on the type of problem, how long it has been there and how you respond to treatment. After the initial assessment I'll suggest the most suitable plan.

Do I need a referral from a doctor?

No, you don't normally need a prescription to book an osteopathic assessment. If there are particular conditions or signs that call for further investigation, I may suggest you speak to your doctor or a specialist.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing that lets you move freely is best. During the assessment I may need to look at certain areas of the body to analyse posture and movement.

Is osteopathic treatment painful?

Treatment is adapted to each person and their sensitivity. Some techniques are very gentle, while others can create a feeling of tension or pressure, but treatment should never be needlessly painful.
